Judy Ann
Troglen
Jan 30, 1945 — Jul 30, 2026
Pelahatchie
Judy Ann Troglen, born on January 30, 1945, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi. She was 81 years old.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Nevel and Lorena Kitchen. She is survived by her sisters; Tina Wadsworth, Vivian Myers, and Ethel Hill; her special sister and best friend, Sandra Toney; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Judy became a Christian at 11 years old at the Church of Christ in Eugene, Oregon. She lived her life the way she wanted. Judy was known to be sassy and opinionated. She often got testy when people wouldn't do what she wanted them to do, in the way she wanted them to do it, and when she wanted it to be done. But in looking back at her life, we can see that all of her actions were rooted in love and genuine care. She enjoyed having things to do for others, and she did them often. It may have been running to the grocery store, taking care of miscellaneous errands, rescuing someone from a bad situation or just showing up for a visit. Judy would often ask for folks to help her with chores around her house, and she expected them to be done just the way she wanted - but all she really wanted was to have someone around and make an investment in their life.
Judy was once married to John David Troglen and even though that marriage ended in divorce, she loved him dearly and missed him often. Judy's physical presence will be missed but the challenge for everyone who knew her, is to think of her often and keep her memory alive.
A graveside service honoring the life of Judy Ann Troglen was held at Lodebar Church, 675 MS-43, Pelahatchie, MS 39145, on August 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, and members of the community gathered to pay their respects and celebrate her remarkable life.
