Judy Louise Lauchly Edwards

Judy Louise Lauchly Edwards, 70 affectionately known as ""Juju"" died on Saturday, January 28, 2012, in Gulfport.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Bennie Lee Lauchly and Louise Edwards Lauchly.
She is survived by her two daughters, Alison Celeste Lauchly Pietrangelo her husband Greg Pietrangelo and Kimberly Louise Lauchly Day and her husband Samuel Brock Day. Her only sister Eugenia Anne Johnson and her husband William Johnson. Her Grandchildren; Jesica Lauchly Pietrangelo, Gregory Clark Pietrangelo, Samuel Brock Day Jr. and Forrest Wilkinson Day. Her former husband and the father of her daughters, George William Edwards Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi.
She was born in Jackson Mississippi but the Mississippi Gulf Coast has been her home for 48 years. She was very active in her community and loved Mardi Gras, politics and her family. She was a member of the Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, member and president of Merry Maskers, Queen of Les Cavaliers, life member of Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport.
Judy worked at several jobs; however, she particularly enjoyed being a case worker for the late Congressman Larkin I. Smith and substitute teaching in the Gulfport School District.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, (246 Dolan Avenue, Gulfport, Ms) or the Human Society of South Mississippi (2615 Highway 49, Gulfport, Ms) in memory of ""Black Cat"".
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:30pm with visitation one hour prior at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Three Rivers Rd. in Gulfport. A private inurnment will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
