Obituary

Judith Lee Anderson (Seman), age 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 3, 1939, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Versal Tobias ("Toby") and ReEtta Seman (Hank).

In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by her husband, William Harley Anderson; and her sister, Joyce Norris (Seman). She is survived by her sister Janet Austerman (Seman) of Englewood, Ohio; her five children Shellie (Bruce) Nation of Gulfport, MS; William (Alan) Anderson of New York City, NY, Kellie (Glenn) Stefaniak of Ogden, UT, Donna Kronenberger of Freeport, FL and Denise Hatcher of Statesville, NC; and her grandchildren Jeffery (Lauren) Hiestand, Shawn (Brittney) Hiestand, Ashley Miles, David Miles, Brittany (Mike Lyerly) Hatcher, Adam (Meashea) Hatcher and Matthew Hatcher; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Judie, a native of Greenville, Ohio, resided in Gulfport, MS near family in her late years. She was a 1957 graduate of Greenville High School where she was a member of the volleyball and basketball teams. After high school, she attended and graduated beauty school in Dayton, Ohio. This led to her modeling the fashionable hairstyles of the day, which she enjoyed very much. It was also at this time that she met the love of her life and her husband, William. They loved to dance together and would often compete in dance contests. She loved sports, was athletic and was an avid bowler. She was a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her family. Judie was also an avid reader and very much enjoyed reading mystery novels. She loved the horses she had during her childhood and enjoyed riding them with her sister in the local parades. As a teen, she also used these horses to deliver groceries from her family-owned grocery store to local residents. Also, as a teen, she worked in many of the family-owned businesses. One of which was most memorable was when she worked as a carhop on roller skates at their drive-in diner. She worked at the Miami Valley AAA where she made many fiends. In addition, she was employed by Fram/Honeywell where she retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of Girl Scouts of America and Eastern Stars. She most enjoyed raising her five children, family gatherings and beautiful, sunny days.
