Joyce Pickell

Joyce Crawford Pickell, age 82, of Saucier, MS passed away on November 8, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
Joyce was a retired Senior Vice President of BankPlus in Belzoni, MS where she worked for 39 years before retiring to Saucier, MS to live out the remainder of her life with her best friend Jean Pistole. They enjoyed sitting on their front porch and bird watching.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belzoni until moving to the coast, then became a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyman, where she served on the Finance Committee.
She enjoyed traveling with friends and church members, helping with several of the ongoing missions of her church, working in her yard and spending time with her family and "Snuggles" her beloved Chihuahua.
Joyce always had a smile on her face, laughter in her heart and a kind soul.  She was loved by all that met or knew her.  She has left a positive mark on all people she came to know, forever marking her place in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Vernon and Hilton Crawford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mervin Switzer (W.A.), Charlene Hardin (Archie), and Betty Jean Rodgers (Tom); brother, Howard Earl Crawford, and nephew Lynn Switzer.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee Pickell and partner Deborah Lea; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 10 - 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Lyman.  The funeral service will be at 11 am in the sanctuary.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
