Joyce Fern Hill, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2013.
Joyce was born in Beaumont, TX but has been a resident of Waveland, MS for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Henry C. ""Soapy"" Hill, Sr., her parents, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her 3 children, Henry C. ""Blue"" Hill, Jr., Robert Dean ""Bobby"" Hill, and Linda Hill Triche, 5 grandchildren, Christy, Stacey, Brian ""BJ"", Kristopher, and Lindsey, and 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507 and please specify Ovarian Cancer Research.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the Biloxi National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband who served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
