Joyce Theresa Dove

Joyce Theresa Dominique Dove of Biloxi, passed away at the age of 78 on July 6, 2013.
She was born on February 27, 1935, in Delta Farm near Lockport, Louisiana, to Walter Volcar and Marquerite Viola Dufrene Dominique. Born on a house boat, mom grew up in a simple, cajun lifestyle with her siblings. Her father gave the doctor two of his prized hunting dogs as payment-in-full for her delivery.
She married Oscar Dove, who said she was the most beautiful girl on the bayou, and moved to Biloxi in 1955 where they raised their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Volcar and Viola Dominique; brothers, Robert, Leston, and Autry Dominique; and granddaughter, Reese Evelyn Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Oscar Dove; sister, Mary Badeaux; son, Marty (Paulette) Dove; daughters, Melissa (Mark) Mansfield, Sondra (Marvin) Smith; granddaughters, Stephanie (Jack) Norris, Ashley (Chris) Bryson, Candice Guidry, Hadley and Maison Smith; great grandchildren, Blake Broussard, Brennan Reilman, Lillian and Madeleine Norris, Walt and Beau Bryson; and her best friend in the whole world, Pat Shumard...her ""Patsy.""
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services.
Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
