Joyce Burris Carter, age 74, of Saucier, passed away on October 7, 2014.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Krystle Carter, a daughter, Cynthia Ann Woodcock, her parents, Robert and Mary Burris, a brother, Robert Eugene Burris, and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Carter.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Arthur ""Art"" Carter, William M. ""Billy"" (Judy) Carter, Nick (Christine) Carter, a sister, Kay Hawkins, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Carter retired as an accountant with Garden Park Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church and for the last 6 years, she and her husband traveled to 44 states enjoying the beauty of God's creations. She enjoyed crocheting and stitching.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 9:30 am - 11 am at Bel Aire Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the church.
Burial will be in Finley Cemetery.
