Josie Ramsey passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 84, following a long illness, at One Magnolia Place Assisted Living Community in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Born on September 9, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Josie spent many years as a beloved resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and love touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Terry (Tom Terry) and Kelly Paul (George Paul); her grandson, Joshua Parsons; her great-grandchildren, Chief Parsons and Leafei Parsons; and her brothers, Thomas Avril (Betty Avril) and James Avril.

Josie was preceded in death by her first husband, Denton Threet; her second husband, Ralph Ramsey; and her brother, Robert Avril.

In her final moments, Josie was surrounded by the love of her daughters. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of One Magnolia Place for the compassion, care, kindness, and affection they showed her throughout her stay. Their dedication brought comfort not only to Josie but also to the family who loved her so dearly.

Josie will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She will be forever loved, cherished, and deeply missed by all who knew her.
