Josiah Len
Burnett
Dec 3, 1997 — Jul 10, 2026
Josiah Len Burnett, age 28, of Gulfport, Mississippi, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 10, 2026. Though his time on earth was brief, the impact of his life and ministry will be felt for generations to come.
Josiah was born on December 3, 1997. At an early age, he gave his heart to the Lord and faithfully answered God’s call upon his life. He wholeheartedly surrendered to the ministry, dedicating his life to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As the pastor of Gulfport Holiness Church, Josiah faithfully proclaimed the truth of God’s Word with conviction, compassion, and an unwavering love for people. His ministry touched countless lives, leading many closer to Christ and leaving an everlasting testimony of faithfulness.
Above every earthly accomplishment, Josiah cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Brooklyn Jade Stevenson Burnett, and a loving father to Asher Len Burnett, Jolie Elise Burnett, and Indie Mae Burnett. His family was his greatest earthly blessing, and he loved each of them with all his heart.
Those who knew Josiah will remember his contagious smile, vibrant personality, and ability to light up every room he entered. He truly was the life of the party, always full of energy, laughter, and encouragement. His joyful spirit made others feel welcome, loved, and valued. He possessed a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
When he wasn’t ministering, Josiah enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and spending precious time with his family. Whether in the pulpit, outdoors, or gathered with loved ones, he lived life with enthusiasm and gratitude. His greatest desire was to serve God faithfully, and that desire was evident in every aspect of his life.
Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, those who loved him find comfort in knowing that he finished his earthly race with faithfulness and has now received his eternal reward. His example of obedience, humility, love, and unwavering commitment to God’s calling will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Josiah was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lindal and Louis Burnett of Cunningham, Kentucky; Sammy and Elaine Cottrell of Salem, Arkansas; and one beloved niece, Rosie Erin Schielke of Paducah, Kentucky.
