Joshua David Crews, age 58, of Stafford, TX, passed away on June 27, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Vinz Crews Price and Earl Patton Crews, his grandparents, Robert G. and Mary Louise Vinz, and Bernice Patton Crews.
Survivors include his daughter, Meghan Ormond, New Bern , NC, a brother, Robert Crews (Sharon), Hammond, LA, 2 sisters, Missye Eckhardt (Karl), Perry, UT, and Cindy Crews Bland (Lowell), Flowood, MS, 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nephews, and 1 great niece.
He graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1975 and attended Mississippi State University. He moved to Houston, TX, and worked in the insurance business for 15 years. Since childhood, he had a passion for flying planes that generated from visits to the airport with his father. He obtained a private pilots license and worked for Robbins Airborne at Gulfport Field.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Jude's Children's Research Center. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
