Joseph Wavely Swanson, age 57, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Gulfport.
He was a native of Washington, D.C. and went to Duke Ellington High School. Joseph was an Audio-Visual Manager for Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi. After many years of touring with various bands as an amazing bass player he hung up his professional hat and just played for fun. In the words of his and his wife's favorite quote: "What you gonna do now Forest?"
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wavely Swanson, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mica Swanson of Gulfport; mother, June Plater Brown; children, Dustin Anderson, Brieanna Anderson, and Phillip Wallers; grandchildren, Kylee Anderson, Makenzie Anderson, Owen Anderson, Ariyanna Anderson, and Elyana Tijerina.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00PM Sunday, April 29, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
