Joseph Larry Schultz, Jr., age 54, a resident of Gulfport, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Larry Shultz, Sr.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Joyce Schultz; his children, Ashley Schultz (Jonathan Tennyson), and Julia Lee (Chad) Hoda; his brother, Bobby (Janice) Schultz; his grandchildren, Faith Tennyson and Caleb Hoda; the children's mothers, Sheila Schultz and Kristi Young; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He worked for Harrison County Fire Services, a reservist for Gulfport Fire Department, American Medical Response, Riemann Family Funeral Home, and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Joseph was volunteer fire fighter, enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the drag strip and spending time with family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyman.
He will be missed by all his loved ones, friends, and co-workers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lizana Volunteer Fire Department Funeral Fund, 16445 Lizana School Road, Gulfport, MS 39503 in Joseph's honor.
