Joseph O. Helm III

Joseph “Joe” Ophiel Helm, III, age 71, of Biloxi, threw open the gates of heaven on May 19, 2025, at approximately 3:20 a.m. after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Joe owned Helm Heating and Air conditioning for 30+ years and worked also at the Central Energy Plant at Keesler Air Force Base. In recent years he has enjoyed retirement and helping his children with projects no matter how big or small.

Joe was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Valarie Dawn Helm; his beloved parents, Joseph O. Helm, Jr. and Bobbie Helm; his grandparents, Joseph O. Helm, Sr. and Martha Helm, Josephine and Lawrence Blanchard. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Darly Helm; his son, Joseph O. Helm IV (Kristine); his daughter, Joelle Natasha Helm (Ashley); his grandson, Adam Helm; his granddaughter, Kathy Nguyen; his loving sister, Pamela Wells; and Nephew Bryant Klein and family.

Joe will be deeply missed however, we rejoice in knowing he is reunited with loved ones in heaven and resting peacefully.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS. Interment will follow at Biloxi Creek Cemetery in Perkinston.
