Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt.) Joseph William Eilert, U. S. Air Force, retired, passed away September 7, 2014 in Cataula, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Eilert, son, James Walter Eilert, III, and other loving family members.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, and recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm device, and other awards.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 8343 Woolmarket Road, Biloxi. Interment with military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
