Joseph Edward Philio

Joseph Edward Philio age 61, a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Ocean Springs.

Joseph was born at Tyndal Air Force Base, in Panama City Florida on May 23, 1964, to Schuyler “Butch” Philio and the late Virginia Philio who preceded him in death only three months ago.

Joseph is survived by his father, Schuyler “Butch” Philio: his sister, Robin Rumery (Thomas) ; and his three brothers, Chuck Philio, Shannon Philio, and Shawn Philio: nephew, Eric Rumery: and niece Karen Rumery;  also left behind to cherish Joseph’s memory is his ex-wife Tanya Skinner, and his brother and sister in law Dewayne and Christy Parish who he remained very close to through the years, as well as numerous cousins and dear friends

Joseph had a master’s degree in industrial engineering and worked for Rheem Water Heater Company until the decline of his health. He loved to go camping, fishing and spending time with those he was closest too. Per his request, no services will be held at this time.
