Joseph A. Danhoffer, age 93, passed away, August 28, 2013.
Mr. Danhoffer was a native of Chicago and a resident of Long Beach for the past 30 years. He retired from Screw Conveyor Corp. in Winona, MS. He is a former policeman and volunteer fireman in Harvey, IL. He loved woodworking and cars, and was a member of the Craftsmen's Guild. Mr. Danhoffer was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Eleanor Danhoffer; his daughter, Barbara Balyeat and her husband Scott; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy J. Nack.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1301 31st Ave. in Gulfport. Contributions may be made to the Gulf Coast Search and Rescue, 21021 West Wortham Road, Saucier, MS 39574.
