Joseph Robert Albert, age 65, of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.
Mr. Albert was born in Gulfport and was formerly employed by several local shipbuilding firms. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Etian Albert and Catherine Taylor Albert Johnson; his stepfather, Horace Johnson; sister, Mary Catherine Hammond; his brothers, Charles Albert, Steve Albert, Timmy Albert, and Donald Albert.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Albert of Gulfport; his son, Joseph Robert Albert, II of Gulfport; siblings, Sylvia Mays, Ronald Albert, Maxwell Albert, John Albert, Joanne Albert, and Esther Albert; and his granddaughter, Lita Albert.
Private services will be held.
