Jonathan Powers LaCour, age 68, of Pass Christian, passed away on June 8, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Maginnis LaCour and Nancy Powers LaCour, 3 brothers, Crawford Ellis Hinderman, Jr., Charles Maginnis LaCour, Jr., and Peter Avrill LaCour.
Survivors include Lorraine LaCour Guiza and her husband, Michael D. Guiza, and Nicholas Taylor LaCour, a sister-in-law, Cindy Rogers LaCour, maternal aunt, Susan Powers, nieces and nephews, Crawfor Ellis ""Terry"" Hinderman, David Tyler Hinderman, Nancy Taylor Hinderman, Charles Maginnis LaCour, III, William Kinsley LaCour, Emily LaCour Guiza, Taylor Payne Guiza, Timothy Powers Guiza, Katherine ""Katie"" LaCour Schackai, and Elizabeth Avrill LaCour and Nicholas Taylor LaCour, both of whom are his Godchildren. He is also survived by his cousins that he loved very much from the Brower, Humphreville, Kearney, Walmsley, and Wilkins families.
He was a native of New London, CT and attended Cardigan Mountain School, Canaan, NH, New London High School, where he served as captain of the tennis team, and Loyola University. Mr. LaCour served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked for Neeb Kearney and Co. and the Coastliner Airport Shuttle. He was an avid Saints fan and held season tickets for many years. He never came across a magazine or newspaper that he didn't enjoy reading and he was a collector of many flea market treasures. Jonathan was a member of the Pass Christian Yacht Club and the Krewe D'Etat.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be sent to the Humane Society of South MS, or the American Diabetes Association.
