John L. "Saint" St Arnaud

John Leonard St Arnaud, age 88, of St. Martin, passed away on July 19, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelle St Arnaud; his parents, John and Agnes St Arnaud; 3 sisters, Mona Patzer,  Marie Welch, and Carol Berglund; and 2 brothers, Laverne “Buzz” St Arnaud and Raymond St Arnaud.

Mr. St Arnaud is survived by his 5 children, Agnes Santa Cruz (Louis), Linda St Arnaud, TJ St Arnaud, Michael St Arnaud (Bonnie), and Allen St Arnaud (Tina); 2 siblings, Clarence St Arnaud, and Norma Jean Gross (Bob); his grandchildren, Lynn Brown (Nicole), Jennifer Neff (Dustin), Eddie Kopsyza (Jennifer), Shanel Williams (Robbie), Natasha Hudson (JG), Amber Santa Cruz, Amanda Guiles, Michelle Riggins (Blake), Daniel Morgan, John St Arnaud (Caitlyn), Cody St Arnaud (Kelsey), and Taylor St Arnaud (Haley); 31 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was a native of Turtle Mountain, ND, Band of Chippewa Indians and was a graduate of St. Michael’s Catholic High School.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War and later retired as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of honorable service.  He was a charter member of the Moose Lodge in D’Iberville.

The family would like to give special thanks to SAAD’s Home Health Care and Hospice, nurses and staff at Ocean Springs Hospital 2nd floor ICU, Dr. Gatlin, and all or our family and friends for your kind words and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 ST. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
