John Earl Trahan Sr., age 62, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Saucier. He was born on September 22, 1954 in Independence, LA to Delmo and Mary Trahan. He was raised in Tickfaw, La as a child and moved to Gulfport, MS as a teen where he remained and raised his children John, Adam and Amanda Trahan. Also became a successful businessman and built a family owned Construction Company for 40 years in Gulfport, where he was also an officer with both Gulfport P.D. and Harrison County Sheriff's Department. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend. Over many years he has made so many memories with his family and friends. His life was blessed and he succeeded in so much. His passions involved Construction, races, fishing, horses, darts and spending time with family, especially the grandkids. After many years of searching, he finally found his happiness, the love of his life, Brenda Anderson-Trahan. They were together for 5 years and married for 3 years. He was blessed to have his wife by his side till his last moments; she is truly one of a kind. He could not have found a better spouse to have by his side, a true blessing.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Delmo and Mary Trahan. He is survived by his wife Brenda Anderson-Trahan; his 3 children, John, Adam and Amanda Trahan; Christina and husband Chad Sims, Kevin and wife Sara Anderson; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; many nephews nieces.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life with his family at 16081 Bill Bond Road, Saucier, MS on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00PM.
