John Palmer Sisson

John P. ""Jack"" Sisson, age 90, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016.
A resident of Gulfport, Mr. Sisson was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Pacific Theatre. He is the former owner of J.P. Sisson International, Inc., of Gulfport. During his career, he was very active in local service clubs including, Rotary, Kiwanis and the Elks. He love playing golf, dancing with his wife and spending time with family. Being known as a people person, he was a former President of Broadwater Country Club and Sunkist Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Sisson; his parents, James and Bill Sisson; his sisters, Billie Ruth Ware and Mary Jane Sewell; and his brother, James C. ""Beau"" Sisson.
Mr. Sisson is survived by his children, Robert ""Bob"" Sisson of Gulfport and Elizabeth ""Betsy"" (Wayne) Karl of Saucier; his grandchild, Chris Smith of Poplarville; and his great grandchild, Tyler E. Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial at the Biloxi National Cemetery will take place at 9 AM on Monday, January 18, 2016. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, served the family.
