John Gregory Matthews of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Forest Matthews and Willodean Matthews of Centre, AL
He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Shannon Matthews; daughters Kristen (Michael) Suarez and Olivia (Chris) Wilson; grandchildren Austin and Emily Suarez, Cayden and Apollo Wilson; brothers and sisters from northern Alabama: Donnie (Gail) Matthews, Pam (Grant) Snell, Raymond (Martha) Matthews, Debbie (Martin) Torrez; niece, Ashley (Wesley) Mobley, and several nephews.
He was a talented, hardworking man. We loved him deeply for being the loving, kind, tenderhearted, admirable, and very thoughtful husband, father, and man that he was. We will greatly miss him.
