John Edward Ludlow

November 28, 1935 — August 28, 2016

John ""Buddy"" E. Ludlow, Sr., age 80, a resident of Woolmarket for the past 60 years, passed away August 28, 2016, at Ocean Springs Hospital.
He was born November 28, 1935, in Greenville, MS, graduated from Perkinston High School, and attended Perkinston Jr. College. After 26 years of proud military service, Mr. Ludlow retired in 1981. He worked for the United States Naval Home after active duty retirement and later retired after 18 years of service. Buddy had been a member of Coalville United Methodist Church since 1946, where he was a former member of the choir. He was always happy to entertain with a story and never met a stranger. If he did, they would not be a stranger for long.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Johnnie Bell Ludlow; brother, Tony Ludlow and sister, Ann Peyregne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Myrna Speede Ludlow; his sons, John Ludlow, Jr., and Michael R. (Donna) Ludlow of Biloxi; his grandchildren, John Hendren, Megan and Melanie Barnett; his sisters, Mary Noe of Biloxi, MS, Zada Russ of Nashville, TN, Jean (Don) Shields of Biloxi; his brother, Charles Herbert (Regina) Ludlow of Saucier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Coalville United Methodist Church, beginning at 11:00am, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Coalville United Methodist Cemetery.
