John Dominic DiNero, age 94, passed away on May 27, 2018 in Ocean Springs, MS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale DiNero and Mercedes DiNero; siblings, Al DiNero, Lucy DiNero McCleran, Albert DiNero; and one nephew, Steven Epp.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna DiNero of Ocean Springs; two daughters, Rhonda Shearer (Jeff) of Auburn, AL, Sherry Hambrick (A.J.) of Ocean Springs; one son, Daniel DiNero of D'Iberville; four grandchildren, Sara Schiller (Chris) of Auburn, AL, Breanna Hambrick of Ocean Springs, Meagan Shearer of Auburn, AL, Tyler Hambrick of Ocean Springs; brother, Fred DiNero (Lorraine) of Pueblo, CO; sister in law, Janet Gregg (Ken) of Lawrenceburg, , KY; 10 nieces and nephews, Jeannie, Kenny, LouAnn, Angie, Debbie, Jeff, Scott, Lynn, Denise, Penny ; and 21 great nieces and nephews.
He was born and raised in Pueblo, CO and served in the Army Air Corps in WWII as a wartime photographer.  After the war, he moved to Denver, CO where he worked as a bus mechanic for Continental Trailways until he retired in October of 1988. That's when he moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he worked with his nephew at Biloxi Sales and Service for many years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, reading, and yard work.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Kare-In-Home hospice staff for their care and compassion.
