SSgt John Thomas Carroll, Sr., USAF, Retired, age 85, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2017, in Gulfport.
Mr. Carroll was born in Missouri and served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War as a forward operative. He later joined and retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church where he was a 4 th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Zella Faye Koehler.
He is survived by his wife of 61 happy years, Doris Carroll; son, John Thomas "Sonny Boy" Carroll, Jr.; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be Tues., Jan. 9, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit 30 minutes prior.
Burial will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
