John Elisha Carroll, Jr., age 71 of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Galdys Carroll; his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly Noble Carroll; his daughter, Tracy Carroll Walker and his brother, Mark Carroll.
John is survived by his children, John E. Carroll, Jr., Daniel (Amanda) Carroll and Della Carroll; his son-in-law, James Walker; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Walker, Olivia Walker, Caleb Carroll, Benjamin Alexander, Jeremy Alexander, and Danilynn Carroll; his sister, Sheila Carroll Hosli; his brother, William Paul Carroll and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was born and raised in Biloxi, where he learned the value of hard work at an early age, helping to support his family. He spent several years working on a shrimp boat, a time when he met the love of his life, Beverly, at a church revival service. Together, they shared 40 devoted years of marriage.
John later worked briefly as a crew leader for the housing authority before pursuing his passion for building by starting his own construction business, JUST-N-TIME Carpentry. Over the years, he built countless homes along the Coast, taking great pride in his craftsmanship. Family drives often became tours of his legacy, as he would point out the houses he built with a quiet sense of accomplishment.
He found joy in traveling with his wife and children, hunting, fishing, and spending time on the water. He loved watching movies, sharing conversations, and offering thoughtful advice to anyone who needed it. To many, he was a trusted confidant and source of wisdom. He also enjoyed riding in Mardi Gras parades and always appreciated Friday lunches with his dearest friend, Willie Powell.
John was a remarkable man with a generous heart. He loved deeply, his friends, his work, his life, but above all, his family. He believed that the journey mattered more than the destination, and he lived that belief every day. His humor, kindness, wit, and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Though the pain of his passing is profound, there is comfort in knowing he is now at peace. His memory will forever be cherished.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi, MS, with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm. An online guestbook may be signed and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com .
