John William Botte

John W. Botte, age 66 of Gulfport, passed away September 15, 2016, in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry W. Botte and Mary Botte; his brothers, Robert Botte and Fr. Gregory Botte, OSM.
John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kum Ok Botte; a step-son, Davey A. Totterer, Jr., who is serving in the US Air Force in Washington, DC; and his siblings, Henry Botte, Jr., June Carroll, Diane Mayo, and Maryann Babineau.
In high school, he played a variety of varsity sports including football and hockey. He graduated from Northeastern University. He had worked for the Attorney General's office in Boston, MA, and as a security guard at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, Biloxi. John was of the Catholic faith and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Finley Cemetery.
