John R. St. Amant

John R. St. Amant, age 61 and a resident of Biloxi, passed away on March 18, 2016, in Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his son, ""Lil"" John; his parents, Emile and Evelyn St. Amant; 3 brothers and 1 sister; his in-laws, Doug and Louise Stevenson and 3 nephews.
John is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lou Anna (Stevenson) St. Amant; his sister, Pat Head; his grandchildren, J.B. and Shelby; one great grandchild; his brothers-in-law, Alvin, Gary, Mike and David; his sisters-in-law, Leona, Sharon, Mary Ann, Julie, Melanie, Johnnie Lynn, and Kathy; numerous nieces and nephews whom he lovingly nicknamed; his longtime friend Terry Pesch (Poppa), and his beloved dog, Jack.
John will be most remembered for his mechanic work, his willingness to always help others out in need, for his love of hunting, fishing, playing old time country music on his guitar, and of course, his love of NASCAR. He will be greatly missed in our family.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, Karlene, Josh, and Kyle at Ocean Springs Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
A time of gathering for family and friends to celebrate John's life will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 6pm until 7:30pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, corner of Lemoyne Blvd. and Washington Ave. in Ocean Springs.
