Joel England, Sr.

Joel Elmo England, Sr. age 80, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Singing River Hospital, Gulfport, MS.

He was a resident of Saucier, MS. Mr. England was born November 17, to James and Dellie England in Humphreys County, MS. He served 21 years in the Navy before retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He then moved his family to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he was employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding 23 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mrs. Betty England; father and mother; brothers, James, Sonny, Charles, Jerry, Don; and sister Catherine.

Mr. England is survived by his two sons Joel England, Jr and Chris England; numerous grandchildren and other relatives; as well as his 100 year-old mother in law Flavia Hampton.

Graveside services for Mr. Joel and his wife Betty will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
