Mr. Joe F. Ford, Sr., age 77, of Lyman, died on Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Ford was employed as a mechanic and owner of Chevron Service Station in Gulfport and later at Mary's Snack Shack in Lyman with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, H. G. ""Doll"" Ford; mother, Hazel Weekley; daughter, Penny Lou Ford; and sons, Joe F. Ford, Jr. and Michael Ford.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Ford; sons, Grady L. Ford and Robert Ford; grandchildren, Jessica Noble, Jennifer Hall, Meagan Childers, Nathan Ford, Matthew Ford, Jeramy Ford, Justin Ford, Ryan Ford and Joe F. Ford, III; six great-grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Burial will follow at Hickory Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumberton.
