While at USM, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, where he built lifelong friendships and made memories that would last a lifetime.
His professional journey took him to Ingalls Shipbuilding, where Jody found both purpose and fulfillment. He took great pride in his work, and it was evident in the way he approached his career. Jody's passion extended beyond the workplace; he demonstrated unwavering love for his children, Tanner Robert, Emily Grace, and Samuel Sutton, always supporting their pursuits and fiercely following their sports endeavors.
Jody enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, relishing in the joys of hunting and fishing. However, nothing brought him greater joy than sharing experiences with his family, whether it was cheering from the sidelines or spending quality time together outdoors.
Jody's accomplishments extended beyond his professional life and into his early pursuits in sports. He made his mark on the baseball diamond, most notably pitching a no-hitter in high school and serving as an assistant coach on the Forrest County AHS State Championship team in 1996. These moments reflected not only his talent but his commitment to mentoring and supporting young athletes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mandy Reinike, who stood by his side through every season of life. He is also survived by his children, Tanner Robert, Emily Grace, and Samuel Sutton; his siblings Connie Morrow (Vince), Bernie Reinike (Jeanette), Ronnie Reinike (Tricia), and Tammy Webb (Jerry); and his mother-in-law, Sheri Lott. Jody was an integral part of a large family, surrounded by numerous nephews, nieces, extended family members, and many cherished friends who will remember him fondly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard "Ben" and Margaret Reinike, his sister Vicky Sue Reinike, and his father-in-law Travis Lott, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
