Obituary

JoAnn Marie VanCourt Dick, 77, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 29, 1948, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by her love for others. She was happiest when spending time with her family, supporting them in their endeavors, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating cherished memories together. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry N. Dick, Jr.; her parents, George Alfred VanCourt, Sr. and Eula Mae VanCourt; her brother, George Albert VanCourt, Jr., and her sister-in-law, Claire Dick Jones.

She is survived by her sons, Henry Dick, III (Laurie) and Steven Dick (Jamie); and her treasured grandchildren, Cameron, Gavin, Emily (Corbin), Bryson, Isabella and Taylor. She is also survived by her brothers, Anthony “Tony” VanCourt, Sr. (Marilyn), Dr. Robert VanCourt, Sr. (Donna), brothers-in-law Richard Dick, Sr. (Carol) and David Jones, Sr., and sisters-in-law, Doris VanCourt and Carol Ann Stentz (William).

A faithful member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, JoAnn lived her life grounded in faith and guided by compassion. She was an enthusiastic fan of the New Orleans Saints and the Ole Miss Rebels and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer for her favorite teams.

Above all else, JoAnn will be remembered for her selfless love, generous heart, and steadfast dedication to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she loved and nurtured. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to have known her.

May she rest in the peace of Christ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, is serving the family.
