Joan Rutledge

Joan Marie Rutledge, age 66, passed away June 12, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her father, A. D. Necaise; her mother, Eloise Farve; and her sister, Elaine Giveans.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Howard Rutledge; her parent, Bernice Rutledge; her daughters, Hailey Lumpkin, and Amberley Ladner (Kelby); her brother, John Edward Necaise (Shirley); grandchildren, Ryan Lumpkin, Braxton Ladner, Blakeleigh Lumpkin, Kelton Ladner, and Carlie Lumpkin; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Joan was a native of Bay St. Louis, MS and a current resident of Gulfport, MS. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from USM. Joan worked at St. Clare’s Elementary, Gulfview Elementary, and Pineville Elementary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS.

Visitations will be held Saturday, June 25th at a family residence. Family will be from 1-2pm, friends from 2-3pm, and a memorial service at 3pm.
