Joan Taylor Langson

Joan Taylor Langson, age 84 and a resident of Biloxi suddenly passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
Joan, affectionately known as ""Nan"" was a native of Bristol, England, and was a long time resident of Biloxi. Her life in England included World War II, and working in chocolate, boot, and furniture factories.
She met her husband of 58 years, Sidney R. Langson, in England. They moved to the United States, first living in Michigan, and in 1965 became permanent residents of Biloxi, where she became a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker.
Joan and Sid shared a deep and inseparable love. Their home was always open. Everyone who entered was made to feel welcome with a fresh cup of tea, coffee, or mocha by Joan, or a glass of whiskey or beer by Sid. She was the world's best listener and would stop anything she was doing to listen to our stories and problems.
She was an amazing Aunt, who became a second mother and Nan to many of her nieces and nephews. She was also considered a second Nan to many of her grandchildren's friends. A big piece of our hearts is now missing. She will be deeply missed.
Joan was preceded in death by he parents, Albert and Beatrice Norton Taylor; her brother and his wife, Jack and Dot Taylor.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sidney R. Langson; her children, Sidney B. Langson, and wife Billie; Ty Langson, and wife Cathy; and Dawn Jones, and her husband Troy Lee; grandchildren, Nicole Langson, Amber (Corey) Belcher, Jennifer (Scott) Robinson, Cayla Langson, Kristin Jones, Lauren Langson, Morgan Langson, and Brandon Jones; great-grandchildren: JayDe, Alyah, and Avelynn; and her brother, Eddie Taylor, and his wife Phyllis of England.
Friends may visit on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FH, Biloxi. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
