Jo Powell

Jo Ann Powell, age 76, of Ocean Springs, passed away on October 29, 2020.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James T. Powell; her children, James T. Powell, Jr. and Patricia A. Barr; 3 siblings, Louise Brinkley, Mae (Garland) Holland, and Bobby Card; 2 grandchildren, James T. Powell, III and Vivian L. Barr; 1 great-grandchild, Madison L. Hoops; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Powell worked as a cosmetologist and she enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, and watching reality and true crime shows. Her biggest joy in life was taking care of her family and watching her grandchildren grow into adults.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 10 am in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
