Jimmy Moore

Jimmy W. Moore, 81, died unexpectedly April 29, 2020, in Memorial Hospital, Gulfport, MS. Jimmy moved to the MS Gulf Coast in 2001 after retiring from the Hamilton County Department of Education, Chattanooga, TN where he taught in the Metals Department at Harrison Bay Vocational Center for 20 years and for a while served as principal there. He also worked for 11 years at Combustion Engineering.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 45 years, Jeanne; his son, Donny, Chattanooga, TN; stepdaughter, Becky Baehr, Long Beach, MS; son, Randy Petrick, Myrtle Beach, SC; and his "little brother," Dennis Moore, Ooltewah, TN. He also leaves his grandchildren, Lacey and Megan Moore; Jesse Smart; Jacqueline, Diana, and Carolyn Petrick; and great grandson, Jackson, all of whom he adored.

Jimmy was the son of the late James F. and Margaret Moore of Ooltewah, TN. His brother, Timmy; sister, Ruby; and grandson, Tyler, all preceded him in death.
