Jimmy Lewis

Jimmy W. Lewis, Sr., age 68, of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.
Mr. Lewis was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and was dedicated to his Lord, his family, and his country.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Thomas Lewis; son, Elliot Lewis; parents, Harold Lewis, Sr. and Leatrice Ladner Lewis; his sister, Betty Purvis; and a grandson, Robert Clancy.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Lewis Wagnon (Richard), Jimmy Wayne Lewis, Jr., Connie Lewis (Mark), and Michelle Lewis (Travis); siblings, Jannette, Junior, Michael, and Debbi; grandchildren, Jacob, Jennifer, Ashlee, Daniel, Michael, Jasmine, and Jimmy, III, and Elijah; great grandchildren, Bailey, Bryson, Anastasia, and Aiden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at West Gulfport Baptist Church, Fournier Avenue, from 9-10 am.
Funeral services will be held in the church sanctuary on Saturday at 10 am.
Burial will follow at Saucier Cemetery.
