Lt. Ret. Jimmy "Redd" Hester, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Moss Point.
Redd was retired from the Department of Marine Resources.
He was preceded by his father, Charles Arthur Hester; and his brother, Michael Hester.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hester of Gulfport; seven children, Tina Trujillo of Gulfport, Jimmy Ray Hester, Jr. (Amberlyn) of Perkinston, Dorothy Viera (Felix) of Vancleave, Gregory Hester (Amie) of Saucier, Mark Hester (Kayla) of Gulfport, Austin Thomas Hester of Gulfport, Ashley Vance of Ripley, TN and Cortney Welander of Cincinnati, OH; his mother, Mary Steiner of Woolmarket ; his sister, Peggy Litsey (Rick) of McHenry; twenty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and his fur baby child, Chico.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00PM at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service at First Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport.
