Jewel Dean Rogers Haskett passed away on August 17, 2022, at her residence.

Jewel was born in Walker County, Alabama on August 18, 1937.  She graduated from Parrish High School in Parrish, Alabama in 1955.  She worked as a Long Distant Telephone Operator, served in the United States Air Force, and worked in the Biloxi Mississippi School System.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Cindie Rogers of Parrish, Alabama; her sister, Beatrice Smith of Parrish, Alabama; her brother, Jimmy Lee Rogers of Oakman, Alabama; and her great granddaughter Kailey Maria Jacobs of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Jewel is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald Haskett; her daughters, Cindy Lou Jacobs (Johnny) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Marjorie Denice Knight (Donavon) of Tacoma, Washington; her sons, John Ralph Haskett (Nadine) of Dallastown, Pennsylvania, and Joseph Donald Haskett (Tami) of Rowlett, Texas; her sister, Gertrude Guthrie of Parrish, Alabama; her brother Johnny Rogers of Dora, Alabama; her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the employees of Keesler Medical Center and SouthernCare Hospice Service for their great care.

The visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS.  The graveside service will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Blvd, Biloxi.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice in Jewel’s name.
