Lt. Jesse Ervin Ready Jr., U.S. Navy, age 42, a native of Petal and a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at home with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Ervin Ready Sr.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 12 years, Teresa Lyn Ready; his mother, Rachel Mae Ready; his children, Courtney Michelle (Nathan Ross) Kinsey, Brenden Mikel Beskow, Tristen Nathan Ready, and Allison Elaine Ready; his siblings, Mike Palmer, Debbie Hitt, Ethel Beesley, and Robert Palmer; and his grandchildren, Kylan Kinsey and Abigail Kinsey.
Jesse was a 1991 graduate of Petal High School and earned an Associate of Science Degree from Thomas Edison University. Jesse dedicated his life to serving our country and was honored to have had 24 years of exemplary service in the U.S. Navy, both enlisted and as an officer. His greatest achievements were becoming a father and sailor. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball, loved Alabama football and NASCAR, but was a hunter at heart.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Petal, MS with full military honors.
