Jesse Frias Gonzalo

Jesse Frias Gonzalo, of Gulfport, passed away at home on 28 Nov 2014 at the age of 80. Jesse was born 07 Apr 1934, in Payo Catanduanes, Philippines, and the youngest of eight children.
He devoted twenty four years to the United Stated Navy, ten years off shore and thirteen years with Keesler Air Force Base.
Mr. Gonzalo is preceded in death by his father Dionisio Gonzalo, his mother Hilaria F. Gonzalo, his wife of thirty eight years Iris R. Gonzalo aka ""Gonzo""; his siblings, Sister Crecencia Angeles, Brother Primo Gonzalo, Sister Maria Ogena, Brother Crispulo Gonzalo, Brother Teotimo Gonzalo, Brother Vidal Gonzalo, and Brother Jose Gonzalo
Jesse is survived by his children, Cathy T. (Earl) Brown of Gulfport, Cesar T. Gonzalo of Gulfport, Cynthia G. (Randy) Hixson of Hattiesburg, and Christina G. (Ryan) Guarnieri of Gulfport; fifteen grandchildren whom will always treasure their ""Poppy.""
A private family service was held on Tuesday, December 02, 2014 at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers in Gulfport, MS. Burial followed to the Biloxi National Cemetery, where he received full military honors.
The family would like to thank his nurse and dear friend Melissa Moore with SADD Home Health Care Service and care givers Isabella Scott and Cathy Trautman.
