Jerry May Roberts

Jerry May Roberts was born on October 17, 1927 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Anna and John O'Donnell.
She danced into heaven on October 4, 2014 at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Roberts. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children David McInerney and wife Carol, Kevin Roberts and wife Karla, Mickey Banks and husband Byron; grandchildren, Melissa, Maggie, Chase, Hannah, Shauna, Amber, Chad and Kim and great grandchildren, Harper, Clark, Mason, McRae, Austin, Lincoln, Tommie, Ginger, Andrew and Jess.
Jerry enjoyed cooking her famous carrot cake and much loved scrambled eggs and grits. She spent most of her days in her beautiful yard gardening and sitting on her back porch chatting with family and friends. She was a devout New Orleans Saints fan and loved spending Sunday's in the company of her family watching the game. She loved playing cards with her friends every month and meeting with other retired women to have lunch and gamble. She worked in civil service as a secretary to the commanding officer of the 20th NCR at the Seabee base in Gulfport where she retired after over 20 years of service. Jerry is deeply missed by all family and friends who knew her. She will always be our Steel Magnolia!
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 11am until 12'Noon at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Gulfport. The funeral service will follow at 12'Noon in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, served the family.
