Jeremiah Payton Tackett

Jeremiah Payton ""Rex"" Tackett, age 16, of Saucier, passed through the gates of Heaven on November 5, 2014, following a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was surrounded by his mother and father and his dedicated medical team.
Jeremiah is the beloved son of Jennifer and Terry Tackett and was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 1, 1998. He attended Randall Consolidated, West Wortham, and Harrison Central High Schools. As a younger child, Jeremiah enjoyed Cub Scouts and church children's choir. He had a special love of dinosaurs, drawing, and watching Scooby Doo with his family. Jeremiah was a video game and Anime enthusiast who aspired to be a graphic artist.
He was preceded in death by an unborn twin sister, paternal grandparents, Ivan and Lillian Tackett, and an aunt, Aimee Schutz Michaud.
Survivors include his parents, Terry L. Tackett and Jennifer Schutz Tackett, his siblings, Natalie Marie (Matthew) Guardiola, Ryan Lee Tackett, Quinn Ivan Tackett, Jonathan Elliott Tackett, Annabella Jennifer Tackett, Alex Matthew Rittorno, and Daniel Riley Tackett, his grandparents, John and Jeanette Schutz, and a great-grandmother, Elizabeth J. Moran.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, from 6 - 8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be 11 am on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Northwood Church, 14281 O'Neal Rd., Gulfport, MS, where friends may visit from 10 - 11 am. Interment will be at 12:30 pm in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Intensive Care Units of Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
