Jennings Bryan Dodge

April 15, 1928 — June 30, 2016

Jennings Bryan Dodge Jr. former owner of Master Brake and Axle Service and the husband of the late Frances Dodge, has passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on June 30, 2016 at 5:34 p.m. surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.
Bryan was born on April 15, 1928 in Asheville, NC. He attended Gulfport High School and Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He was in the Gulfport Naval Reserves and was a Mason and Shriner for many years serving in the clown division that raised money for the Shriners Children's Hospital and entertained the children at their burn center.
Bryan was the son of the late Jennings Bryan Dodge Sr. and the late Eva Crane Dodge. Bryan was also preceded in death by his only sister Elizabeth Dodge.
Bryan is survived by the mother of his 5 children, Mrs. Patricia J. Nix of Saucier, MS; his sons, Steve Dodge of Saucier, MS, Alan Dodge of Pass Christian, MS, Dale Dodge of Atlanta, GA, Jeff Dodge of Gulfport, MS; his daughter, Diane Smith of Ruston, LA; his 9 grandchildren, Scott Dodge, Sean Pavack, Drew Dodge, Justin Dodge, Trevor Dodge, Tyler Dodge, Eva Dodge, Olivia Dodge and Sauvannah Smith; his 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Shriners Children's Hospital or your favorite charity.
