Jennifer Ladner, age 75, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Gulfport. A lifelong resident of the coast and native of Delisle, Jennifer’s life was one marked by compassion, service, and unwavering strength.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neville and Flora Ladner; brother, Slade Ladner; godchild, Travis Ladner; and her sister, Sherilyne Fay “Gee” Ladner.
Jennifer is survived by her godchild, Kristie Ladner; her siblings: Patsy (Ron) Erieg, Nelvin “Buck” Ladner, Gwen Herrington, Troy (Sandra) Ladner and lifelong friends Carolyn Tucker and Susan R. Mitchell. She also leaves behind a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her precious four-legged girls, Chewy and Muffin.
Jennifer was a proud graduate of Pass Christian High School and went on to attend Mississippi University for Women (“The W”), where she developed her lifelong love of education and athletics. A retired physical education teacher, she dedicated over 30 years to shaping young minds and inspiring students through her commitment and passion. She also led various charitable events aimed at sponsoring children in need, a cause close to her heart.
During her school years, Jennifer earned numerous accolades—recognized as Best Defensive Player, Most Athletic, and an All-Star athlete. She also celebrated a National Championship appearance during her collegiate career.
Beyond her career, Jennifer loved basketball, softball, landscaping, and coin collecting. She was a faithful member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Jennifer will be deeply missed by all those who knew her, remembered for her devotion to others, her fierce love of family, and her enduring legacy of kindness and strength.
She will be sadly missed by those left behind.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
