Jennice Teddy Chandler

Jennice Teddy Chandler of Long Beach, MS, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, transitioned on July 31, 2025, in Gulfport, MS, at the age of 82. Born on October 29, 1942, in Goodman, MS, Teddy dedicated her life to family and friends.A long-time resident of Chicago, IL, Teddy returned to her Mississippi roots where she delighted in the company of her cherished family and friends. 

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dr. Keelia Altheimer-Bienemy, son-in-law Renee`, granddaughter Charlie LaRue Bienemy, and daughter Sadiqua Chandler (granddaughter Waraka Hill).She leaves behind siblings: Fred D. Gilmore, Vincent R. Gilmore, Dr. Carol J. Spain, Velma J. Emphrey, and Jimmie Jones. She also leaves behind cherished cousin Barbara Wallace, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many devoted lifelong friends.Teddy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred D. Gilmore and Charlie Mae (Johnson) Gilmore, and sisters, D. Allain Jones Zieden, Ileen G. Matthews, and Michelle Seo.Teddy enjoyed cooking immensely, watching movies, and talking with friends and family on the phone, making sure to stay connected with everyone close to her heart.

No Funeral Services will be held. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is assisting the family.
