Jefferson "JD" Ladner

Jefferson Davis “JD” Ladner, age 82 of Pass Christian, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his significant other, Diana Creel, of 34 years; father, John Baptiste Ladner; mother, Leler Ovenia Redmond Ladner; brother, John B. Ladner; and sisters, Mary Alice Ladner Blackwell, Violetta Ladner Faye, Hilda Hayden, Ellender Ladner Faye, and Leler E. “Rita” Ladner Reece.

JD is survived by his children, Michael Ladner (Sondra), and Julie Ladner Robertson; grandchildren, Olivia Ladner (Ryan Dykes), Emma Ladner, and Michael Campbell (Destiny); and great grandchildren, Lyam and Levi Campbell.

JD was a diesel mechanic and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed the leisure things in life such as hunting and fishing.

A special thank you to Nina Fields and Rachel Dedeaux for the exceptional care given to JD while he was at home. Also, thank you to Dr. Hughley, the nurses and the staff at the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport for the care and compassion you showed the entire time during his hospital stay.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian; and again, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the funeral home. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following services, JD will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
