Jeanette Casper Lizana, age 82, of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.
Mrs. Lizana was born in Gulfport to Guy Raymond and Elizabeth Hewes Casper in August of 1932. She graduated from Gulfport High School where she was a Commodore cheerleader and then later worked for United Gas Company for several years.
She and her husband, Carl, have opened and operated several restaurants including her namesake in Ocean Springs, Aunt Jenny's Catfish Restaurant, and her personal favorite seafood restaurant, The White Cap Seafood Restaurant. She was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mrs. Lizana was preceded to the arms of our Lord by her parents; and her beloved sisters, Margaret Casper Dubuisson and Libby Currie.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl A. Lizana; sons, Carl A. ""Buck"" Lizana, III, and Raymond Casper Lizana; daughters, Margaret Kathy Dibble and Mary Lucy Palazzo; fifteen loving grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A devout Catholic all of her life, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Gulfport, on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 11:30a.m. Visitation for friends will begin at 10:00a.m.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens.
