Gulfport
Jean Nation, 86, of Gulfport passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 17, 2023 to be with the Lord.
As a lifelong resident of Gulfport and an educator, Jean had a major influence on numerous lives. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved reading, watching sports on TV, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emmitt R. Nation and her grandson Andrew R. Nation.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Steve (Wanda), Wade (Mindy) and Bruce (Shellie). Her grandchildren Daniel Nation (Angela), Angela Morgenstern (Chuck), Lindsay Nation, Jonathan Nation, Jeffery Hiestand and Shawn Hiestand and great-grandchildren Erica Nation, Jackson Morgenstern, Mason Hiestand, Sterling Hiestand, Scarlett Hiestand, Kolton Hiestand, Kinsleigh Hiestand, Shawn Michael Hiestand and Taylor Anderson.
A private memorial is planned for a later date.
