Jean Marie Clarkston "Nee Harkin", age 67, passed away on June 8, 2019 in the Ocean Springs Hospital.
Jean was born in, Derry, Northern Ireland to Hugh and Mary Harkin.
Mrs. Clarkston moved to the states in 1981 when her husband was transferred to Great Lakes, IL. She was with her husband for 16 years of the 20 years he was in the United States Navy. While her husband was in the Navy she lived in Charleston, South Carolina, Kings Bay, Georgia, Annapolis, MD and Finally Buffalo, NY. After her husband started working for the United States Air Force they live in San Antonio, Texas and finally moved to Biloxi, MS in January 2003.
Mrs. Clarkston is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Patrick "Paddy" Harkin.
Jean is survived by her husband of 41 years, Craig Clarkston of Biloxi, MS; her four daughters, Carol Biancofiore of Grand Island, NY, Sinead Mick of Lewiston, NY, Michelle Clarkston of Niagara Falls, NY, Melissa Clarkston of Biloxi, MS.; her son, Craig Clarkston, Jr. of Lewiston, NY; her five grandchildren, Andrew Clarkston, Tyler Clarkston, Nick Biancofiore, Rieley Hook, and Madison Biancofiore; her four brothers, Danny, Hugh, John and Raymond; her 5 sisters, Maureen, Betty, Lucia, Jacquline, and Valerie; and countless nieces and nephews.
Jean will always be remembered for her cooking, her sweet loving personality and everyone always fell in love with her Irish accent which she never lost even after spending 39 years in the states. She will be sorely missed.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, with a visitation for family and friends starting at noon.
